Fishing Report |
|
It looks like we are going to finally get ice this season! The
extended forecast starting on Monday looks GREAT! Let’s just hope the
wind dies down enough for the lakes to freeze. Hopefully, buy next
weekend we will have fishable ice on the small shallow lakes and bays.
If you haven’t got your ice fishing stuff ready yet, now is the time to
do it! If there is anything you need, stop in we have plenty of ice
fishing equipment in stock at very competitive prices.
For anglers itchin to go fishing, there is ice up north, or head to one
of the rivers. The Rock River in Jefferson and Fort Atkinson has been
producing walleyes. The Wisconsin, Fox, Wolf rivers have also been
producing fish. There are a few anglers taking boats out, but there are
plenty of places to fish from shore and catch fish. Jigs or river rigs
baited with a jumbo fathead or large lake shiner minnow have proved
successful. Stinger hooks are recommended for those light biting
walleyes.
Anglers have also been talking their boats out or fishing from shore on
the area lakes. But hopefully, the ice will stop this soon.
Help us help you, please email us any fishing reports at dicksbait@wi.rr.com
Good Luck!
